The Challenge 24-More Than All the Stars in the Sky

The Challenge is back with a new sketch and color combination!  You can choose to use just the sketch, just the colors, or to combine them both on your card.  I used both the sketch and the colors on this sweet design made with stamps from Mama Elephant.

More Than All the Stars in the Sky card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Mama ElephantI started out by finding a combination of papers to use on my cardfront.  Most of the light blue card base was covered with a piece of orange and yellow patterned paper.  I edged the patterned paper panel with a contrasting strip of navy blue cardstock.  The patterned paper was topped with a wide yellow fishtail flag panel.

I used the girl from the Shooting Star set as my focal image.  She was colored with Copic markers and die cut with the matching die.  After adhering her to the edge of a light blue cardstock panel, I stamped the sentiment above her in navy pigment ink.  The finished panel was adhered to the cardfront, overlapping the fishtail flag panel.  To go with the sentiment's star theme, I scattered a trio of yellow sequins around the cardfront.
