You're My Type

Here's my card for the current sketch at Retro Sketches.  I stretched the square layout into a standard A2 size to make this one.

You're My Type card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Avery Elle
Once I'd picked the heart patterned paper to use for the layout's large panel, this card came together quickly. I matted the panel on cream and red cardstock, then adhered it to a navy card base.

For the sentiment, I die cut a pair of stitched fishtail flag banners.  The font-themed sentiment from Avery Elle's Lots of Love set was stamped on the cream panel in navy pigment ink.  I layered the sentiment panel on the larger navy die cut piece, then adhered it to the cardfront.  I accented the sentiment with a die cut red heart with a tiny navy blue baker's twine bow.

Materials Used:
Lots of Love stamp set (Avery Elle); Memento Luxe Nautical Blue ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Real Red and Night of Navy cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Homespun 6x6 paper pad (Simple Stories); stitched heart die (Lil' Inker Designs); Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Flag Banner Stax dies (My Favorite Things); navy baker's twine; foam tape
