Color Throwdown 334-You're Such a Fox

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Tammy is our hostess this week and she's chosen this fun color combination for us--orange, navy and pink.

You're Such a Fox card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker DesignsI just got this adorable fox die and coordinating stamp set from Lil' Inker Designs and I couldn't wait to try it out, so my orange may be just a bit more clay or brown colored than the challenge colors were intended to be . . .  I die cut the fox and assembled him, adding stamped eyes and a pink heat embossed nose for detail.  The fox was adhered to a contrasting navy houndstooth patterned paper panel.  I adhered the patterned paper panel to a white cardstock panel over a strip of navy cardstock.

I die cut the word "foxy" three times, then layered the diecut pieces for dimension before cutting off the "y" and adhering the stack to the panel.  I stamped the "you're such a" sentiment over it in matching navy pigment ink.  To bring in a touch more pink, I added a pink die cut heart next to the fox, again using foam tape for dimension. The finished panel was layered on to a pink mat, then adhered to a navy card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD334.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our March guestie, Holly Brown, and this week’s guest star stamper, Julie Beech.
