You Warm My Heart

Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  It was a chilly, dreary, rainy day when I made the card, so its coffee theme seemed fitting.

You Warm My Heart card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I die cut the coffee cup using MFT's Die-namics Coffee Cup die and assembled it on a pink chevron patterned pierced circle die cut.  The to-go cup's lid was adhered with foam tape for dimension.  I matted the chevron circle on a dark brown circle, then adhered the image panel to a kraft cardstock panel.

I stamped the "you warm my heart" sentiment from the Perk Up set in brown pigment ink on a narrow pink cardstock strip, then used foam tape to adhere it over the to-go cup.  To bring in a pop of contrasting color, I added a small red heart to the sleeve on the cup and arranged a pair of red enamel dots underneath the sentiment strip.  I layered the finished panel on to a pink card base to match the sentiment strip.

Materials Used:
Perk Up stamp set, Die-namics Coffee Cup and Pierced Circle Stax dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Sweet Blush cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Chocolate Chip and Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft cardstock (WPlus9); Style Essentials-Lt. Pink Flourish designer paper (Echo Park); circle die (Spellbinders); red enamel dots (Michaels); foam tape
