Mojo Hello

I tried, but I couldn't resist the fabulous new stitched flower dies from Lil' Inker Designs!  Pretty much as soon as they arrived, I had to pull them out and put them to use.  I used them on this spring-like card based on the current Mojo Monday sketch.

Hello card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
I started off by picking the patterned paper to use for the card's background.  I'm still working my way through stacks and stacks of old patterned paper, both 12x12 and 6x6 . . .  I liked the fun mix of funky florals with the classic gingham in this pairing.  I arranged the panels on a pale pink card base, then topped them with a pale pink cardstock panel that I matted on a piece of contrasting darker pink paper.

I stamped the "hello"sentiment from the new Just Sayin' set in pink pigment ink on a cream stitched circle die cut, then accented it with a die cut flower.  To give the flower more dimension, I used a big pink enamel dot at its center.  I adhered the sentiment to the right side of the layered cardstock panels. A pair of fishtail flag strips completed the design.

Materials Used:
Just Sayin' stamp set, Perky Posies and Stitched Circle dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Luxe Rose Bud ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Raspberry Fizz and Simply Chartreuse cardstock, double-ended banner die (Papertrey Ink); Quite Contrary-Mary Mary "Best of Friends" Play designer paper (My Mind's Eye); pink enamel dot (Michaels); foam tape
