C-ellie-brate

Here's my card for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I used the cute elephant themed stamp set from Lil' Inker Designs to make a girly birthday card in shades of pink.

Celebrate card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lil' Inker Designs
I stamped one of the set's elephant images in gray pigment ink on a white stitched rectangle panel, then added a pair of pink fussy cut balloons to the elephant's trunk. I paired the elephant image with a scrap of pink chevron patterned paper, then arranged the two pieces on a panel of berry colored cardstock.  To add a bit of sparkle, I tucked a narrow strip of gold cardstock beneath the image panel and patterned paper.

After wrapping the panel with gold baker's twine and securing it with a bow, I adhered the panel to a pale pink card base.  I stamped the "celebrate" sentiment on the patterned paper in gray pigment ink along the left edge of the image panel.

Materials Used:
Party Pachyderms stamp set, stitched rectangle die (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Gray Flannel inks (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet cardstock (Papertrey Ink); gold paper (Target); Splendid Sunshine 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); gold baker's twine (Hemptique); foam tape
