You're Tee-rific

Here's my card for this month's Sugar Sketch at SugarPea Designs.  I went with a masculine design using the SugarPea Designs Tee-rific set.

You're Tee-rific card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from SugarPea DesignsI colored the penguin image with Copic markers, then paper pieced his hat with a piece of plaid patterned paper.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I filled in the pom pom on the top of the hat with a bit of white flock for some texture.  The colored image was cut out and adhered to a white panel using foam tape.

I set the image panel on a blue cardstock panel with strips of plaid paper (same as I used on the hat!) and coordinating red cardstock.  All of the layers were matted with dark blue cardstock for contrast and to tie them together.  The "you're tee-rific" sentiment was stamped in blue pigment ink on a round panel and adhered to the lower left corner of the image panel using foam tape.  I adhered the finished panel to a dark blue card base.

Materials Used:
Tee-rific stamp set (SugarPea Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Nautical Blue inks (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Blue Bayou and Poppy Parade cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Enchanted Evening cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Playful 6x6 paper pad (Authentique); circle punches (EK Success); white flock (EK Success); foam tape
