The Challenge returns today after our summer break! This week's challenge features a sketch.  I rotated the layout for my fall design.

You're A-maize-ing card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn
I just got some stamps from Lawn Fawn's latest release and couldn't wait to ink up the adorable scarecrow image from the Happy Harvest set.  I colored him up with Copic markers, then carefully cut him out.  He was adhered to a blue panel stamped with the set's cornstalk image using foam tape.  To give the scene more dimension and so that it looked like he was standing in a field, I layered the sentiment strip--edged with a grass border punch--over the panel using more foam tape.  Now that I look at it again, I probably should have added a sun in one of the panel's top corners . . . I matted the image panel on orange cardstock, then adhered it to a kraft panel with a strip of orange patterned paper at the bottom.

Check out what the rest of the talented team at The Challenge has created based on this week's sketch.  Here's where to find them:

Lesley Croghan, challenge creator
Alanna Moses, September featured designer
Tenia Nelson, guest designer
