Sending Joy and Good Cheer

Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I used cool blues and purples for my wintery design.

Sending Joy and Good Cheer card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
It's been a while since I added a new Pure Innocence set to my collection, but I couldn't resist this cutie!  I colored her with Copic markers, then added a bit of white flock to her hat for some texture.

Instead of using a trio of slanted strips on the image panel, I used a trio of torn edged shimmery white strips to make a snowy backdrop for my sledding girl.  The pieces were arranged on a blue on blue dotted patterned paper panel.  After adding the image with foam tape, I had just enough room to stamp the set's "sending joy and good cheer" Sentiment at the top of the panel.  I matted the panel with coordinating blue cardstock, then layered it on to a dark purple stitched edge rectangle adhered to a light blue card base.

Materials Used:
Pure Innocence Dashing By stamp set, Die-namics Dashing By and Blueprints 24 dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Elegant Eggplant, Bashful Blue, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Spring Rain patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); white flock (Stampendous); foam tape
