The Challenge 50-Cozy Winter Wishes

*** Click HERE to see my card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch!***

The Challenge is back again with a new challenge!  This week we have a color challenge--red, silver, kraft, and white.  I paired the colors with the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs to come up with this wintery design.

Cozy Winter Wishes card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
I adhered a red stitched circle die cut to the right side of a kraft card base, trimming the edge of the circle so it was even with the edge of the card. The red panel was topped with a silver stitched snowflake die cut.  I added a piece of a clear crystal flourish extending out from the flake, giving the idea of some movement.

So that the sentiment didn't block the snowflake, I stamped it on vellum in white ink, then heat embossed the words in white, too.  I used some vellum-friendly adhesive to put it in place over the flake.  A few white sequins arranged around the flake finished the design.

Check out what the rest of the talented team at The Challenge has created using this week's colors.  Here's where to find them:

Lesley Croghan, challenge creator
Geri Greening, November featured designer
Joanne James, guest designer
