Donut Worry

Here's my card for this month's Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try.  I went with something sweet,  using the Reverse Confetti Donut You Know stamp set and coordinating Donut dies for my card.

Donut Worry card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
I designed my card around the patterned paper--doesn't it kind of remind you of sprinkles?  After matting it with bright pink cardstock, I adhered the patterned paper panel to the pale pink card base.  I ran a strip of pale gray cardstock across the cardfront, then stamped the "donut worry be happy" sentiment on the strip ink bright pink pigment ink.

I die cut a donut from kraft cardstock, then topped it with die cut pink "icing."  The sprinkles were stamped in white pigment ink.  I probably should have heat embossed them for a more sprinkle-like look . . .  After assembling the donut and adhering it to an aqua panel with foam tape, I layered the panel on to the card over both the patterned paper and sentiment panels.  A few pink sequins scattered around the donut completed the design.

Materials Used:
Donut You Know stamp set, Donut dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress and Rose Bud inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Raspberry Fizz cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Sea Glass cardstock, Sugar sequin mix (Avery Elle); Kraft cardstock (WPlus9); Umbrella 6x6 paper pad (American Crafts); foam tape
