So Very Happy

So Very Happy card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Verve Stamps
Here's my card for January's first Viva la Verve sketch challenge.  I still have a few extra bits and pieces left over from my holiday cards, so I put some of them to use on this love themed design.

I started out by cutting the round panels for the sketch's arrangement of shapes.  The pale pink and pale gray circles were matted on darker gray cardstock, then adhered to the pink dotted patterned paper panel.  I stamped the sentiment from Verve's Wonderful Marvelous set in gray pigment ink on the gray circle.  I swapped out the last two circles on the sketch for hearts.  The hearts were cut with Verve's Heart Quartet die and adhered with foam tape for dimension.  I cut apart a large clear crystal flourish, then tucked the pieces underneath the edges of the large circles for an elegant sparkle and shine.  The finished panel was adhered to a pink textured cardstock base.

Materials Used:
Wonderful Marvelous stamp set, Heart Quartet dies (Verve Stamps); Memento Gray Flannel ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Grout Gray, Steel Grey, and Pink Lemonade cardstock (My Favorite Things); Tutu Pink cardstock (Bazzill); pink dotted patterned paper (Michaels); circle dies (Spellbinders); clear crystal flourish (Want2Scrap); foam tape
