Color Throwdown 383-Rain or Shine

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Broni is our hostess and she's shared a cheery, spring-like color scheme--orange, yellow, green, and white.

I'm Here Rain or Shine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Mama ElephantI paired the colors with the current sketch at RetroSketches and this week's Rain or Shine theme at The Paper Players to create this 4 1/4" square card.  The RS layout is perfect for using up scraps--and I have a lot of those!  I mixed and matched a few different combinations before settling on what you see here.  The "I'm here rain or shine" sentiment from Mama Elephant's Chance of Rain stamp set was stamped in gray ink in a gap between the paper strips.  I added a simple sun made from die cut circles and a shimmery white cloud.  A trio of clear sequins gives the design a touch of sparkle.  The finished panel was matted on orange cardstock, then adhered to a golden yellow card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD383. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd383 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our March guestie Leslie Miller, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Bernadette Bliss.
