I'm Quackers for You

I'm up on the SugarPea Designs blog today, sharing a bit of sweet SPD inspiration for you.  My card features the new Quackers stamp set--a favorite from this month's release--and coordinating SugarCuts dies.

I'm Quackers for You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from SugarPea Designs
The layout comes from this week's SugarSketch.  If you haven't joined in on any of April's weekly sketches, you still have a few days to play along for a chance to win this month's prize . . .  For the focal image, I stamped one of the set's duck images on a circle die cut and colored in the water, then added a second colored duck on top using foam tape for dimension.

I placed the duck on a yellow cardstock panel with a coordinating yellow patterned paper strip across the top.  A super narrow strip of blue cardstock sets the two panels apart and brings in the color of the water, too.  I layered the panel on to a blue card base covered with a piece of grid patterned paper.  Once the panel was in place, I added the "I'm quackers for you" sentiment on top.  I accented it with a trio of sequins and an orange Stitched Flags die cut.

Be sure to check out the creations that some of my other SPD teammates are sharing today on their blogs:
