Just a Note to Brighten Your Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from SugarPea Designs

Welcome to day 1 of April's Sweet Peek Week at SugarPea Designs!  Today we're showing off the first of the new stamps, dies, and other goodies that will be available in the SPD store on Friday, April 15 at 6 PM EST.

I combined a bunch of new products on this design.  First, I used the new SugarCuts Whatever the Weather dies to cut the sun, clouds, and umbrella from cardstock.  The umbrella's dotty pattern was stamped with the coordinating stamp from the Whatever the Weather stamp set.  I played around with the arrangement of pieces until I settled on one I liked, then I put the pieces on to one of SPD's new patterned papers.  Yes, that's right--patterned papers!  Our new Whatever the Weather Patterned Paper Collection is a fun 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" size, perfect for covering a standard A2 sized card base with no extra scraps left over.   Here, I trimmed the panel just a bit and layered it on to a yellow card base.  The "just a note to brighten your day" sentiment was stamped next to my die cut arrangement.  I accented the die cuts and sentiment with another new product--sequins!  These are from the Sea Spray set and here, they work perfectly as raindrops.

Want to win the brand new Whatever the Weather set for yourself?  Of course you do!  Leave a comment on today's post on the SPD blog telling us how you like to spend a rainy day.  You have all week to comment.  Winners from our April product release will be announced on Sunday, April 24.  And, for an extra entry for today's giveaway, leave a comment on each SPD designer's blog, too.  Here's where to find them:
