You're a Lifesaver

Here's my card for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I turned the layout into a nautical themed scene with stamps from Paper Smooches.

You're a Lifesaver card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper SmoochesI stamped and colored the boat from the Wicked Nauticool set on a matching die cut to start the scene, then used die cuts to make a sun and a fluffy white cloud.  The pieces were arranged on a light blue card base over a wavy strip of cardstock.  I made the waves by using circle punches to cut out different sized semi-circular pieces from the cardstock strip--super easy way to make waves!  The set's "you're a lifesaver" sentiment was stamped on the left side of the wavy strip.  A few white sequins scattered around the scene completed the design.

Materials Used:
Wicked Nauticool stamp set, Nauticool and Clouds dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Bashful Blue, Brocade Blue, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Lemon Tart cardstock, Lemon Tart patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); pinking circle dies (Spellbinders); circle punches (EK Success); white sequins; foam tape

  1. Such a wonderful take on the sketch - how perfect with the sentiment strip as the water and the cloud and sun in the sky! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
