I Pick You

Here's another design inspired by the current My Favorite Things Camp Create session.  I did a bit of coloring on kraft cardstock with Prismacolor pencils.  It's been a while (okay, a long time!) since I pulled those out and it shows in my coloring!

I Pick You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from My Favorite Things
The layout for my design is based on the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  After stamping one of the mice from the Harvest Mouse set on kraft cardstock and coloring it with the pencils, I carefully cut it out.  I used foam tape to place it on a simple background made from a long blue cardstock panel with a strip of green grass at the bottom and a pinking circle sun at the top.  The "I pick you" sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the panel.  After matting the scene with red cardstock to coordinate with the mouse's sweater, I adhered it to a kraft card base with a piece of honeycomb patterned paper at the top.

Materials Used:
Harvest Mouse stamp set (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); colored pencils (Prismacolor); Kraft, Summer Sun, and Spring Rain cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Kiwi Kiss cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft in Color-Kraft 6x6 paper pad (Doodlebug Design); pinking circle die (Spellbinders); Grass border punch (Fiskars); foam tape

  2. Such a great card Lori and I love your coloring using the pencils. I have to crack mine out and do more practicing since I don't seem to have much luck with them.
