Inking About You

Here's my card for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  With it being so hot around here, a card with an ocean theme seemed appropriate!

Inking About You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
I made the octopus from Reverse Confetti's Seaside stamp set my focal image.  The octopus was stamped in green ink, then cut with the matching die.  I used foam tape to adhere the octopus to a pale blue die cut tag.  After knotting a piece of pale green grosgrain ribbon through the hole at the top of the tag, I placed the tag on a piece of chevron patterned paper.  I stamped the set's "inking about you" sentiment on a turquoise strip punched with a wave border punch, then tucked the strip beneath the octopus image. A trio of aqua sequins scattered around the image completed the design.

 Materials Used:
Seaside stamp set, Confetti Cuts Seaside and Tag Me dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Tuxedo Black and Pear Tart inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Sea Glass cardstock (Avery Elle); Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Party Boy 6x6 paper pad (Photoplay); Certainly Celery grosgrain ribbon (Stampin' Up!); aqua sequins (Treehouse Studio); foam tape
