Sending Happy Mail

Here's my card for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I replaced the layout's round panel with a fun envelope die cut to make a perfect card to let someone know you're thinking about them.

Sending Happy Mail card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
I used the large envelope die from the Mini Envelopes and Accessories set from Lil' Inker Designs to cut the envelope from white cardstock.  For contrast, I added a die cut red heart "seal" to the envelope.  It was adhered to a gray polka dotted panel.  I topped the envelope with a sentiment made with a combination of a die cut and stamped text.  The "sending" was cut from gray cardstock.  For dimension, but easy mailing, I cut the word again several more times from a lightweight cardstock, then stacked and adhered the die cut pieces.  The "happy mail" sentiment from the Sending You set was stamped on a small red cardstock strip and adhered just beneath the die cut word.  The finished panel was adhered to a pale gray card base.

Materials Used:
Sending You stamp set, Mini Envelopes and Accessories and Of the Heart dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Steel Grey and Grout Gray cardstock (My Favorite Things); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Grey Mini Dot designer paper (Michaels); foam tape
