Color Throwdown 406-With Sympathy

It's time for another Color Throwdown!   Lisa is our hostess this week and is sharing a color combination inspired by a gorgeous cake--orange, green, pale pink, and white.  My take on the colors uses a softened version of the palette and the current sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch.

With Sympathy card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Papertrey Ink
I put together a floral sympathy card using a trio of stamp sets from Papertrey Ink.  I stamped one of the leafy images from Turning a New Leaf in green pigment ink along the edge of a white panel, then added a trio of pale pink flowers from the Everyday Classics set in among the leaves.  The center of each flower is dotted with a bit of Liquid Pearls.  The "with sympathy" sentiment from the Keep it Simple:  Sympathy set was stamped next to the leafy border in gray pigment ink.  After edging the panel with a narrow strip of orange cardstock, I adhered it to a pale pink card base with a strip of dotted pink patterned paper along the right edge.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD406. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd406 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our August guestie, Wanda Guess, and this week's guest star stamper, Penny Ward.
