Don't Whirry

When I saw that the theme for the current Lawnscaping challenge was "punny time," I knew right away that I wanted to ink up my So Smooth set from Lawn Fawn for a card.  After getting a bit of color inspiration from the current color challenge at Global Design Project, I went to work and came up with this design.

Don't Whirry, Be Happy card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
The backdrop is a simple yellow watercolored panel.  While I waited for the watercoloring to dry, I colored up a few elements from the set, including the blender, milk carton, and fruits, using Copic markers then cut them out with the matching dies.  I added a green cardstock strip to the panel to ground my blender and ingredients, then arranged the pieces using foam tape on some of them for dimension.  It doesn't show in the photo, but the blender's buttons are coated with a bit of clear irRESISTible Pico Embellisher for a shiny, dimensional look.

The set's "don't whirry, be happy" sentiment was stamped to the left of my arrangement in black ink.  I adhered the finished panel to a green card base.

Materials Used:
So Smooth stamp set, So Smoothdies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink, clear irRESISTible Pico Embellisher (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Kiwi Kiss cardstock (Stampin' Up!); watercolor paper, watercolors (Michaels); foam tape
