Mojo Monday 464-Birthday Wishes

Birthday Wishes card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Verve Stamps

Happy Monday!  It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch.  I'm running a bit low on birthday cards, so I used the sketch to put one together in a fun primary color scheme.

My focal image is the balloon trio from Verve's Party Time set.  I stamped the balloons on white cardstock and colored them with Copic marker, then carefully cut them out, trimming off the strings.  I stamped the balloons a second time on a white pierced square die cut turned on an angle and added the colored balloons on top using foam tape for dimension.  There was just enough room left on the panel to stamp the "birthday wishes" sentiment from the Big Wish set next to the strings.

For the background, I arranged a mix of coordinating solid, metallic, and patterned panels and strips on a golden yellow card base.  After matting the image panel on silver cardstock, I adhered it on top.

Don't forget--since it's the first Monday of the month, it's also contest time.  A stamp set from Verve Stamps is up for grabs from the lucky contest winners, so be sure to play along.  Head on over to the Mojo Monday blog for more inspiration from the design team and to add your own take on this week's sketch!  You can also find all of the Mojo Makers at their blogs here:
