The Challenge 78-Tropical Thanks

The Challenge is back with a new challenge!  Next up in our rotation is a photo inspiration challenge. I paired the inspiration photo with the Pinapple Paradise stamp set from SugarPea Designs and the sketch from SPD's current Mix It Up challenge.

Tropical Thanks card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from SugarPea Designs
I stamped the pineapple image on the matching pineapple die cut using pigment inks.  To make it easy to get a multicolored pineapple, I did a little stamp "surgery" and cut the image apart.  I was able to ink the leafy top in green and the bottom in yellow, then roll it in kraft for a two toned look.

I added a pair of panels to a bold yellow card base. The floral one was a nod to the inspiration photo's flowers. The solid orange panel was die cut with one of SPD's Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle dies. I stamped the set's "thanks" sentiment on it, then added the pineapple image on top using foam tape.  I scattered a bunch of yellow enamel dots around the sentiment to finish the design.

Check out what the rest of the talented team at The Challenge has created based on this week's inspiration photo.  Here's where to find them:
