Before I Had My Coffee

It's Friday (finally!) and even though I'm not a coffee drinker, I thought a coffee themed design would be a perfect end to the work week.  This one uses stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs along with the current sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

Before I Had My Coffee card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
I used a fall color scheme inspired by the scrap of plaid paper that I placed along the top of the orange card base. A narrow coordinating strip of turquoise cardstock was adhered just beneath the plaid strip.  After assembling the die cut to go cup, I added it on top of the paper strips, using foam tape for dimension.  The "I'm sorry" sentiment from the Coffee Cozy stamp set was stamped just to the right of the cup in black ink. A few brown enamel dots arranged around the cup completed the design.

Materials Used:
Coffee Cozy stamp set, Coffee Cozy dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Orange Zest cardstock (My Favorite Things); Kraft and Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Perfectly Plaid Fall patterned paper pad (Lawn Fawn); Bon Bon enamel dots (Doodlebug Designs); foam tape
