Mojo Monday 470-Peace Love and Joy

Peace Love & Joy card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Reverse Confetti

Happy Monday!  It's time for a new Mojo Monday sketch.  I used the sketch to put together a holiday card in a non-traditional color scheme.

I love to create holiday cards in non-traditional colors and the blues, purples, and grays in the striped patterned paper I used to cover most of the pale blue card base were perfect for a wintery feel.  I added a purple pierced circle panel to the striped panel, then topped it with the sentiment panel.  The "peace, love, and joy" sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Seasonal Sentiments set was stamped on the panel in pale purple ink.  It doesn't show up well in the photo, but it does IRL.  I accented the sentiment panel with a narrow light blue fishtail flag strip and a glittery die cut silver snowflake.  The center of the snowflake has a big clear crystal--larger than I would normally have used on a flake this size, but it hides the foam dot I used to adhere the flake . . .  A contrasting piece of dark purple cardstock was adhered to the card's upper left corner. I wrapped the corner with a scrap of blue grosgrain ribbon to tie everything together.

Head on over to the Mojo Monday blog for more inspiration from the design team and to add your own take on this week's sketch!  You can also find all of the Mojo Makers at their blogs here:
