The Challenge 82-Whale Hello

The Challenge is back with a new challenge!  Next up in our rotation is a photo inspiration challenge.  I used the photo's ocean theme along with its color scheme as the starting point for my design.

Whale Hello card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Avery Elle
I knew that I had this cool glittery wave paper in my stash and that it would be perfect for my card.  Once I found it, I cut a little panel to use to ground the whale image from Avery Elle's Whale Hello stamp set.  I edged the paper with a bit of green cardstock before adhering it and the whale image to a kraft panel.  The "whale" from the Whale Hello set and the "hello" from the Sentimental set were stamped above the image in blue pigment ink.  I matted the panel on a green card base.  To bring in one final element from the photo, I added a wood veneer button tied with twine to the right side of the patterned paper panel.

Check out what the rest of the talented team at The Challenge has created based on this week's inspiration photo.  Here's where to find them:
