Enjoy the Beauty of the Season

Here's my wintery take on this week's sketch at RetroSketches.  I stretched the layout to an easier to mail standard A2 size, but I think you can still see the basic elements from the sketch.

Enjoy the Beauty of the Season card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lil' Inker Designs
I started off by selecting two coordinating patterned papers from a winter themed paper pad--one a smaller scale stripe and one bigger, busier round snowflake pattern.  Once I'd selected the papers, the rest of the design came together quickly.  I matted the striped paper on coordinating blue cardstock and adhered it to a light blue car base.  The snowflake paper was matted on the same blue paper, then placed on top.

A solid blue cardstock fishtail flag strip was placed across the top of the snowflake panel.  The sentiment panel, a light blue pierced circle, was adhered to the fishtail flag panel.  The "enjoy the beauty of the season" sentiment from the Lil' Inker Designs Winter Greetings set was stamped in coordinating teal ink. I accented it with a super glittery die cut snowflake and a trio of matching silver glitter enamel dots.

Materials Used:
Winter Greetings stamp set, snowflake dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Teal Zeal ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Blue Bayou cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Sno Cone cardstock, Die-namics Pierced Circle STAX and Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Recollections silver glitter cardstock (Michaels); Hello Winter 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); silver glitter enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
