Let's Be Merry

I mailed off a big package of cards to the Caring Hearts card drive earlier this week.  This fun holiday design, based on the current sketch at RetroSketches, was one of the final ones to squeeze into the package.

Let's Be Merry card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper SmoochesThe cutest ugly sweater ever from the Paper Smooches Tis the Season set was my focal image.  I colored the image with Copic markers and cut it out with the matching die, then used foam tape to adhere it to a sparkly silver panel.  After adding a contrasting red cardstock strip to the top of the silver panel, I adhered it to a green dotted patterned paper panel.  The "let's be merry" sentiment from the Christmas Sampler set was stamped just beneath the silver panel.  After wrapping the panel with some green baker's twine and securing it with a bow, I adhered the dotted piece to a red card base covered with a large green cardstock panel.  Festive and fun!

Materials Used:
Tis the Season and Christmas Sampler stamp sets, Tis the Season Icons dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Real Red, Gable Green, and Green Galore cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Recollections silver cardstock (Michaels); Tiny Polka-Lime Tonal (Hobby Lobby); green baker's twine (Divine Twine); foam tape
