A Latke Love

Christmas may be over, but Hanukkah is just underway!  I still need a few more Hanukkah cards, so I used the current sketch at Match the Sketch to put this one together.

Love You a Latke card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn
I used one of my favorite Hanukkah themed sets, Lawn Fawn's Love You a Latke, again for this one.  This time I stamped the latkes directly into the pan.  The images were colored with Copic markers, then cut out with the matching die.  I used foam tape to place the colored image on a blue on blue patterned paper panel with a narrow strip of shiny silver cardstock along the bottom.  I used my favorite dark black ink, Versafine's Onyx Black ink, to stamp the punny latke love sentiment on the patterned panel. The panel was matted on dark gray cardstock, then placed at the top of a deep blue cardstock panel.   I adhered it to a lighter blue card base, then added a trio of silver sequins for a final touch of festive sparkle.

Materials Used:
Love You a Latke stamp set, Love You a Lakte dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black and Versafine Onyx Black inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Marina Mist cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Navy cardstock (Reverse Confetti); Steel Grey and Grout Gray cardstock, Die-namics Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Recollections Silver cardstock (Michaels); Hip Hip Hooray 6x6 paper pad (Doodlebug Design); silver sequins; foam tape
