Love You

Here's my card for the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  I used the layout to create a love themed design.

Love You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I don't have any dies in my stash that cut a set of window-like squares, so I did a little creative work with a square punch to get my four squares cut from the gray patterned paper.  With the help of a zero center ruler and some sticky notes, I think they ended up pretty close to evenly lined up!  I used foam tape to adhere the patterned panel to a pale gray card base.  To fill the openings, I used one of MFT's Pierced Heart STAX dies to cut four red hearts.  After placing the hearts in the open spaces, I added a single silver sequin accent to three of them.  The narrow sentiment strip, stamped with "love you" from the Essential Sentiments set, was adhered over the final heart, using foam tape for dimension.

Materials Used:
Essential Sentiments stamp set, Grout Gray cardstock, Die-Namics Pierced Heart STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Recollections silver cardstock (Michaels); Smokey Shadow patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); 1 1/4" square punch (EK Success); silver sequins; foam tape
