A Million Thanks

Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  I used the layout and several MFT dies to create a bright thank you card.

A Million Thanks card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I made a dimensional gerbera daisy the focal image for the card.  After using MFT's Gerbera Daisy dies to cut the flower pieces from bright pink and orange cardstock, I used foam tape to assemble the flower.  I placed it at the center of a melon cardstock square, framed with a contrasting orange frame, cut with MFT's Pierced Square STAX dies.

The framed flower was adhered to a piece of melon and orange dotted patterned paper with a curved bottom edge, courtesy of the Stitched Basic Edges dies.  I used more foam tape to adhere the dotted panel to a bright pink card base to match the flower.  The "a million thanks" sentiment from the Essential Sentiments set was stamped just beneath the curved edge in black ink.  The dimensional flower and patterned paper layer make this design a not so mail friendly card, but I have another delivery idea in mind for this specific card, so that won't be an issue . . .

Materials Used:
Essential Sentiments stamp set, Dots and Stripes Sorbet 6x6 paper pad, Die-namics Gerbera Daisy, Pierced Square STAX, and Stitched Basic Edges dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Hibiscus Burst, Melon Berry, and Orange Zest cardstock (Papertrey Ink); foam tape
