Nautical Navy Thanks

Here's my card for the current Fusion challenge.  I combined the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo--navy stripes and neutral kraft to create my thank you card.

Nautical Navy Thanks card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
I built the card on a navy card base mostly covered with a panel of kraft and navy striped patterned paper, echoing the stripes of the rug in the photo.  For the layout's round element, I used Reverse Confetti's Swirlies dies to make a round swirl.  The die cut is dimensional, thanks to several layers of paper stacked one on top of the other.  I stamped the "thanks" sentiment from RC's In a Big Way set on a navy banner strip in white pigment ink, then heat embossed it in white for a nice pop.  It was layered over the round piece, using foam tape to anchor it.  A pair of white matte enamel dots placed just beneath the sentiment strip completed the design.

Materials Used:
In a Big Way stamp set, Navy cardstock, Swirlies and Tag Me dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Luxe Wedding Dress (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Pride 6x6 paper pad (Authentique); Recollections Snow embossing powder (Michaels); white matte enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
