You Are Jawsome

I can't resist a cute, punny stamp set, so I had to add Lawn Fawn's Duh-nuh set to my collection.  I inked it up for the first time for this card for the current challenge at The Paper Players.

You Are Jawsome card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
The layout's square panel was a perfect fit for the set's shark image.  I colored it with Copic markers in shades of gray, then cut it out using the matching die.  To make a background for the image, I layered aqua strips with wavy edges, courtesy of a pair of circle punches, on a pale aqua panel. The shark was added on top, using foam tape for dimension.  I matted the image panel on gray cardstock to match the shark.

To go with the image, I covered a pale aqua card base with a piece of plaid patterned paper.  The paper's actually from Lawn Fawn's Perfectly Plaid Winter paper pad, but it works well with the color scheme of this sort of summery card!  I placed a wide strip of aqua cardstock edged with narrow gray strips across the cardfront, then layered the image panel on top.  The set's "you are jawsome" sentiment was stamped just beneath the image panel to complete the design.

Materials Used:
Duh-nuh stamp set, Perfectly Plaid Winter 6x6 paper pad, Duh-nuh dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Hawaiian Shores, Aqua Mist, and Stormy Sea cardstock (Papertrey Ink); circle punches (EK Success); corner rounder; foam tape
