You Are My Sunshine

You Are My Sunshine card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
Here's my clean and simple design for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I used a mix of dies from Lil' Inker Designs to create the card.  The sketch's trio of shapes are represented by a stitched circle sun, cut from paper rescued from my scrap pile, and a pair of shimmery white stitched cloud die cuts.  The clouds were adhered with foam tape for dimension.  The "you are my sunshine" sentiment from the Sunshine Sentiments stamp set was stamped just beneath the clouds.  To bring in a final stitched element, I used the largest stitched rectangle die to create a stitched border around the cardfront.  A trio of white sequins arranged beneath the die cuts completed the design.

Materials Used:
Sunshine Sentiments, Stitched Circle, Stitched Rectangle, and Stitched Cloud dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Baja Breeze and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); designer paper (My Mind's Eye); white sequins; foam tape
