Best. Day. Ever

Here's my card for the current challenge at Global Design Project.  I used the layout to create a clean and simple monochromatic design.

Best Day Ever card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps, dies, and stencil from Reverse ConfettiI represented the sketch's lines with dots created with Reverse Confetti's Lotsa Dots stencil and some green ink.  I picked a shade of green that was just a bit darker than the green of my card base to provide just a bit of contrast.  Once the dots were done, I used Reverse Confetti's Seeing Stars dies to cut a pair of silver stars to add to the cardfront.  The "best.day.ever" sentiment from RC's Fancy Word Coordinates set was stamped on a very narrow strip of yet another shade of green cardstock.  After trimming it down, I used foam tape to adhere it to the panel, overlapping the larger of the two die cut stars.  A trio of silver sequins arranged around the stars completed the design.

Materials Used:
Fancy Word Coordinates stamp set, Seeing Stars dies, Lotsa Dots stencil (Reverse Confetti); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Shabby Shutters distress ink (Ranger); Spring Moss and Ripe Avocado cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Recollections Silver cardstock (Michaels); foam tape
