The Challenge 92-You Brighten My Day

The Challenge is back with a new papercrafting challenge to inspire you! This week we're featuring a fun color challenge--black, white, and a color of your choice.

You Brighten My Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from SugarPea DesignsI chose yellow as my third color.  It was perfect for showcasing one of the light bulbs from the SugarPea Designs Watt's Up stamp set.  I stamped the bulb in white pigment ink at the top of a black cardstock panel, then heat embossed the image in white.

To give the bulb a warn glow, I dug out some long-neglected supplies.  I used sparkly yellow chalk to make a beam extending out from the bulb.  The beam's crisp edges are courtesy of the sticky notes I used to define the area. I stamped the set's "you brighten my day" sentiment on a narrow strip of yellow cardstock and adhered it to the panel using foam tape for dimension.  A trio of enamel dots scattered around the panel completed the design.  The finished panel was adhered to a yellow card base to match the sentiment strip.

Check out what the rest of the talented team at The Challenge has created based this week's color challenge.  Here's where to find them:
