Nutty for You

Nutty for You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
Here's my card for the current sketch at Sunday Stamps.  I used the acorn image from the Paper Smooches Falling for You stamp set that I colored for last month's Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring challenge as my focal image.  The colored image was cut out, then adhered to a cream panel using foam tape.  I stamped the "nutty for you" sentiment just beneath the acorn in black ink.  After matting the image on brown cardstock, I adhered the image panel to a kraft cardstock panel over a dotted green panel.  The brown strip along the right edge of the green dotted panel was a last minute addition, but I think it helps to tie all of the pieces together. The finished panel was adhered to a brown card base to match the mat beneath the image panel.

Materials Used:
Falling for You stamp set (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Soft Suede and Crumb Cake cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Soup Staples II Green Salt designer paper (Jillibean Soup); foam tape

  1. Beautiful coloring, Lori! I love the little strip of matting peeking out from one layer - the off-center design really adds interest. Thank you for joining Sunday Stamps this week.
