Have a Magical Day

Have a Magical Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs
Here's my card for the current challenge at Global Design Project.  I paired the sketch with the Magical Winter stamp set from Lil' Inker Designs.  One of the set's unicorn images was colored with Copic markers in pale pinks and purples.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I added some sparkle to the mane, tail, and horn with a glitter brush pen.  The image was cut out with the matching die, then adhered to a stitched oval die cut using foam tape for dimension.  To make a backdrop for the image, I used a dot stencil and some pink distress ink on a pale pink cardstock panel.  The dots add a simple, but subtle pattern that draws your eye right to the image.  After adhering a shimmery silver strip across the pink panel, I positioned the image panel on top.  The set's "have a magical day" sentiment was stamped on a pale purple panel, then adhered to the left of the image using foam tape. A trio of matte pink enamel dots were arranged around the silver strip as a simple accent.  The finished panel was adhered to a purple card base matching the sentiment panel.
