Color Throwdown 490-Floral Thanks

It's time for another Color Throwdown!   Wanda is our hostess with a pretty pastel color palette--pink, lavender, sage green, and light gray.

Floral Thanks card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse ConfettiI paired the colors with the current challenge at Fab Friday.  The sketch's large panel was perfect for an arrangement of flowers and leafy branches created with Reverse Confetti's Blooms 'n Buds stamps and dies and a large sentiment, too.  Instead of stamping the flowers, I die cut them from cardstock and just stamped the accent images on top in white ink.  I arranged them on a pale gray panel, then stamped the large "thanks" sentiment from the In a Big Way set in the panel's upper right corner.  I matted it on white cardstock, then added it to a green cardstock panel over a striped fishtail flag strip.  A feminine pink bow, created with the help of my Bow Easy, was the final accent added to the panel.  The finished panel was centered on a pink card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD490.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd490 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram (and on Facebook!) with the username colorthrowdown.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our April guestie Hannelie Bester, and this week's Guest Star Stamper, Diana Kreutzer.

  1. Aww, what pretty little bell-flowers! So fresh and Spring-y in these colors, too, with just the right touch of ribbon! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!
