CSS Release in Review-Comic Book Celebration

Release in review week continues at Clear and Simple Stamps with another look at the newest additions to CSS’s Rag Doll line. Today, I’m showing off stamps and dies that are a perfect complement to the adorable Rag Dolls.

I made a card and magnet set using the new comic book themed stamps and dies. These are great for gifts for little (and maybe even not-so-little!) boys. The set includes a trio of encouraging cards and a mini backpack to hold a trio of coordinating magnets.

Here’s a closer look at the cards. Each one has the exact same design to make it easy to put the set together quickly. I just switched up the color and sentiment on each one to add interest. I used the Comic Book background in a color matching the card base, then added a trio of layered Burst die cuts with a sentiment from the Comic Bursts set to each one. The layers are matted on black cardstock—it really makes them pop.

Here’s another look at the two toned backpack, made with the new Backpack die. I have to admit that the cute little backpack totally makes the kindergarten teacher in me squeal! I added red grosgrain ribbon straps to the backpack for a masculine look. The backpack holds a trio of magnets, seen here on a magnetic picture frame. I used a trio of layered Bursts die cuts with a sentiment from the Comic Bursts set again, keeping things the same as I did on the cards. The top layer is attached with a piece of foam tape and a heavy-duty magnet is adhered to the back.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the CSS designers have created for today’s Release in Review. Here’s where to find them:
