Happiness Is Being with You

Here's my card for the second Viva la Verve sketch for January.  I created a love themed card with slightly non-traditional colors.

I designed the card around the striped patterned paper that i used for the large panel on the cardfront.  It has some pink in it, along with a little orange, gray,and aqua. I layered the paper on a pink panel, then machine stitched around the edges to add a nice, finished look.  The panel is adhered to an aqua card base and topped with a strip of rose grosgrain ribbon.

I used one of the sentiments from Verve's Treasured Words set for the round panel. It's stamped in pink ink and accented with a pair of tiny felt hearts cut with Verve's From the Heart die.  I added a tiny twine bow to the hearts instead of a bow so this one would be easy to send in the mail.
