Paper Smooches SPARKS-January Picture Perfect Challenge

This week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a Picture Perfect challenge.  I needed a sympathy card, so I used some of the photo's design elements along with the current sketch from CAS(e) this Sketch for my clean and simple design.

I used a similar color scheme for my card, picking a graphic pattern in a sort of gray (okay, probably closer to beige!) print for the panel along the right side of the card.  I stamped the "deepest sympathy" sentiment from the Good Gab set in gray ink on an orange strip that I layered over the patterned panel, close to the bottom of the cardfront.

For the image, I used one of the butterflies from the Flap Happy set.  It's colored with Copic markers and cut out, then adhered to the cardfront with a dimensional dot.  In a nod to the look of the silver studs along the headboard in the photo, I added a white pearl flourish at the bottom of the butterfly as a flight trail.

Be sure to stop by the challenge blog for all the details on the challenge and for more inspiration, too!
