What's Up?

This week’s Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a Designer Draft challenge. I used the sketch in its vertical orientation for this space themed card.

I represented the two floral elements with the space ship and planet from the Space Cadet set, that I colored with my Spectrum Noir markers to look like Earth. They’re set on a chevron patterned panel using dimensional dots. I stamped the “what’s up?” sentiment from the Good Gab set at the top of the panel in black ink, then adhered it to the cardfront over a strip of gear patterned paper.

Once I had the pieces in place, I went back and dotted the space ship with Liquid Pearls for some dimension. I’ve learned the hard way to leave this step for last . . .

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Paper Smooches Space Cadet and Good Gab stamp sets, Crafter’s Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Spectrum Noir markers (BT1, BT2, BT3,BT4, CG1, CG2, CG3,CG4, GB2, GB3, GB5, IG2, IG3, IG5, IG7), My Mind’s Eye Boy Crazy 6x6 paper pad, Ranger Silver Pearl Liquid Pearls, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other: Soft Sky cardstock (Stampin’ Up!)
