Sending Birthday Bear Hugs

I've been a fan (and customer) of My Favorite Things stamps pretty much since the company's beginning, so I couldn't miss out on the MFT 10th birthday challenge.  My card features 10 embellishments--a mix of enamel dots in different colors and sizes.

Sending Birthday Bear Hugs card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
The layout is based on the current sketch at Sketch Saturday.  I made the bear popping out from a gift box from the new Beary Special Birthday stamp set my focal image.  The bear was colored with Copic markers, then cut out with the matching die.  I used foam tape to adhere the bear to a blue stitched rectangle panel.  The set's "sending birthday bear hugs" sentiment was stamped in the panel's upper left corner.  Once those elements were in place, I was ready to arrange the dots.  I did play around a bit with combinations before settling on what you see here.  The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating red card base.

Materials Used:
Beary Special Birthday stamps, Die-namics Beary Special Birthday and Blueprints 24 dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Lakehouse cardstock (WPlus9); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); red and blue glitter enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); yellow enamel dots (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
