Waltzingmouse Blog Party

When I sat down to make a card for this month’s Waltzingmouse Stamps Blog Party, I realized I had only one flower stamp in my Waltzingmouse Stamps collection! While this limited my design options somewhat, I still managed to put together this clean and simple design using that single flower stamp—the sweet tulip from the Nordic Spring stamp set—and some inks from Imagine Crafts. Imagine Crafts makes the fabulous Memento inks I use almost all the time and they generously sent me some of their other varieties of inks to sample.

I used a combination of Brilliance (a fast drying pigment ink) and Versamagic (chalk ink) inks for the card. I picked a springtime color combination of a bright green for the stems and pastel pink and yellow for the flowers. The strip of flowers is matted on a yellow textured cardstock panel. I stamped one of the gingham images from the Gingham & Co. set on a white panel in Sunflower Yellow ink, then stamped the “thanks a bunch” sentiment over it in Pearlescent Thyme. The green ink has a pretty, subtle sparkle to it IRL! I adhered the gingham panel to the bottom of a celery green card base, then added the flower strip on top.  Not bad for one flower stamp!

Materials Used:
Nordic Spring, Gingham & Co., and Compact Sentiments stamp sets (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Brilliance Pearlescent Thyme and Sunflower Yellow and Versamagic Pink Grapefruit inks (Tsukineko/Imagine Crafts); Certainly Celery and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); yellow textured cardstock (Bazzill)
