This week’s blogger challenge theme is sympathy cards. I used stamps from Papertrey Ink to put this simple, soothing card together.
I stamped one of the large leafy branch images from the Turning a New Leaf set in green pigment ink in one corner of a light green panel, then added a pair of flowers in orchid ink. Once the pigment ink had dried, I inked around the edges with some distress inks for a softer, more blended look.
After rotating the stamped panel around a few times to decide on how I wanted to orient the card, I stamped the “with heartfelt sympathy” sentiment from the Through the Trees set in kraft pigment ink in the open space to the left of the stamped images. The finished panel is adhered to a darker green card base.
Materials Used:
Turning a New Leaf, Everyday Classics, and Through the Trees stamp sets, Ripe Avocado and Spring Moss cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Old Paper and Antique Linen distress inks, Petal Pink Liquid Pearls (Ranger); Memento Luxe Pistachio and Toffee Crunch inks (Tsukineko); Orchid ink (Avery Elle)
Beautiful CAS Sympathy card - love the softness!
