The current challenge at Lawnscaping is to use bling on your creations. I just got the new Lawn Fawn Starry Backdrops set from i {heart} papers and thought that the stars would make a fabulous sparkly element on a card.
To make my stars super sparkly, I stamped them in silver ink, then heat embossed them with silver embossing powder. After embossing, I used an ink blending tool and a trio of blue distress inks to make a night sky background around them. I trimmed the panel and matted it with navy cardstock, then adhered it to a light blue panel. I matted the panel on another piece of navy cardstock, then layered it on a sparkly silver panel before adhering it to a navy card base.
The sentiment comes from the Lucky Stars set. It works perfectly with the starry backdrop! I stamped it in silver ink, then adhered it across the stamped panel. A trio of silver sequins adhered to the solid cardstock panels finishes the design.
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Lawn Fawn Starry Backdrops and Lucky Stars stamp sets, silver sequins
other: Lake House cardstock (WPlus9); Enchanted Evening cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); silver paper (Target); white cardstock, silver embossing powder (Michaels); Encore Silver ink (Tsukineko); Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, and Broken China distress inks (Ranger)
