Here's my card for this week's challenge from The Paper Players. I combined the sketch with the current colors from the Colour Me challenge for this school themed card (see graphic at the bottom of this post).
I built my design on a neutral kraft panel stamped tone on tone with a typewriter style text background stamp. The trio of different sized circles were arranged directly over the stamped panels. To add interest to the round panels, I die cut them using a pierced circle die. The "you make the grade" sentiment from Reverse Confetti's Class Act stamp set is stamped on the center white panel in blue ink.
A green dotted apple, stamped with the stamp set's apple image and cut with the matching Confetti Cuts die, was set at the bottom of the sentiment panel. It's adhered with foam tape to add dimension. I edged the kraft panel with narrow strips of blue and green cardstock. A trio of blue enamel dots added a final pop of the darker blue color to the background.
Materials Used:
Class Act stamp set, Class Act Confetti Cuts dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Luxe Toffee Crunch, Pear Tart, and Rich Cocoa inks (Tsukineko); Aquamarine ink (Avery Elle); Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); white cardstock (Michaels); Typewrite Text Background stamp, Die-namics Pierced Circle Stax dies (My Favorite Things); enamel dots (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
