You're So Cool

Here's my card for this month's Reverse Confetti color challenge.  I used the warm pink and orange color combination to make a summery design with the new Reverse Confetti Let's Chill set and matching dies.  This is such a fun set for summer card making!

I used the popsicle as my focal image.  Instead of stamping and die cutting the image, I used three strips of colored cardstock adhered to a white panel to make the popsicle.  I die cut the strips, placing the paper on an angle to get angled stripes, then cut the paper with the popsicle die.  I cut the popsicle shape a second time, this time from white cardstock.  After cutting the lines in the striped popsicle, I adhered them to the white piece, then layered the larger piece on top,  using foam tape for dimension.  To give the popsicle a frosty look, I coated it with clear glitter (which I will be cleaning off of my table for the foreseeable future--I now remember why I don't use glitter too often!).

The popsicle is adhered to a piece of pale pink dotted patterned paper.  After matting the patterned paper with dark pink cardstock, I layered it on a light pink panel over a piece of a white paper doily.  I stamped the set's "you're so cool" sentiment on an orange fishtail flag strip and added it to the panel, tucking the edge underneath the popsicle image.  A few pink sequins sprinkled around the sentiment strip add one final sparkly touch to the design.
