Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I needed a birthday card for a special middle school aged boy, so I turned to the fun Soda Pop set and matching dies for my card.
I used cardstock scraps to cut the soda bottles. After I assembled them, I arranged them on a cream pierced rectangle die cut. The "may your day bubble over with fun" sentiment was stamped beneath the bottles in red ink. The sentiment doesn't exactly say "birthday," but I think it works for the occasion! The panel was adhered to a piece of kraft cardstock over a trio of narrow red cardstock strips. I accented the bottles with some red enamel dots. They work well with the bubble theme of the sentiment. The finished panel was adhered to a dark brown card base, matching the color of the soda bottles. I hope the birthday boy likes it!
Materials Used:
Soda Pop stamp set, Die-namics Pierced Rectangle Stax and Soda Pop Bottles dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Lady Bug ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Early Espresso and Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft cardstock (WPlus9); silver paper (Target); red enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
Fab card as always, Lori! Thank you for playing along with us at MFT Challenge. :)
